Yangon Areawide Christian Retreat

For more than 50 years our small group of Brethren in the capitol city of Burma , Yangon , has entertained American and Asian Brethren who came to conduct seminars and meetings throughout this lovely country.  Although they often were invited to attend, nothing special had ever been done just for them..  Reflecting on this they ask me about having a special retreat for the Yangon area Christians who number about 100 but who meet in four small house churches across the city. The plan was laid and the event was a great success. 

Five days were spent studying Marriage and Home, which I taught and Dennis Welch joined us to teach the Singles on how to live the Christian life in a hostile environment.  The afternoon’s were free for family time, fellowship and singing which brought them closer together.
